Advocating for a Healthy and Resilient Fall River
The 2013 September floods caused significant changes to the Fall River.
- Water course migrations
- Debris deposits with depths of over 3 feet in many areas
- River bed was raised or lowered as much as five feet
- River corridor widened 50+ feet in some areas
The Fall River corridor is heavily developed with resort accommodations and residential homes. To best accommodate the many different parties with interests in Fall River, the Town of Estes Park has helped assemble a coalition to help coordinate interested parties and most effectively advocate for health and resiliency of the stream corridors and the Town.
